Keep reading to know more. The UPSC ESE 2023 admit card for the preliminary examination was made available online by the Union Public Service Commission on January 27, 2023, at Candidates’ roll numbers, registration IDs, and dates of birth are used to access the UPSE ESE 2023 admission card.  

On February 19, 2023, the UPSC ESE test preliminary round will be held. On the day of the test, the UPSC ESE admit card 2023 for the preliminary round must be printed from the official website and brought with a government-issued, current photo ID proof, such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, pan card, driving license, etc., to the testing location. Candidates won’t be able to take the test if this isn’t done.

UPSC ESE Exam Pattern 2023

The ESE Prelims test is the initial stage of the selection process. The two papers consist of only objective questions. Paper I consists of Engineering aptitude and general studies, common for every applicant. While the next Paper-II will have questions from the core engineering topic. The UPSC ESE Prelims test has a maximum score of 500 points and the ESE Prelims test lasts for a total of five hours. And for every wrong response, one-third of the question’s marks is being deducted.         

Those who pass the UPSC ESE Prelims test will receive an invitation to take the UPSC ESE Mains exam. Additionally, the subjects for UPSC ESE Mains Exam will be drawn from the key engineering fields you choose while filling out the application form for the subjects as follows:- civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, as well as electronics telecommunication engineering. As the exam is descriptive in nature, in case your handwriting is unreadable to the supervisors, the commission has the power to take away up to 5% of the total points.

Steps to download the UPSC ESE 2023 mains admit card

Step 1: Go to, the UPSC’s official website. 

Step 2: Click “e-admit card Engineering services” under “What’s new” on the webpage. Candidates may alternatively go to the “Examinations” tab and choose “Active Examinations” from the drop-down menu. 

Step 3: Click “Engineering Services Examination 2023” under “Active Examination” to select the ESE admission card 2023. 

Step 4: The UPSC ESE 2023 admit card webpage will display on the screen. 

Step 5: On the Instructions page, select “Yes.” 

Step 6: Input the captcha and Registration ID/Roll Number. 

Step 7: Press the “Submit” button. 

Step 8: A screen will show the ESE 2023 admission card.

Aspirants are encouraged to bring two passport-size photos that are an exact match to the ones they used when filling out the UPSC ESE application form 2023 along with their main admit card for the exam, as well as you must carry your Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, Driving License or Passport for the UPSC ESE examination.

Candidates must carefully record the exam instructions. At least 30 minutes before reporting time, candidates must appear at the UPSC ESE testing site. UPSC ESE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

All potential candidates must be eligible for the UPSC ESE program. The qualifying standards must first be met by applicants before they can submit their applications. A candidate’s age must fall within the range of 21 and 30 in order for them to be taken into consideration for the UPSC ESE exam. The upper age restriction is decreased by up to 5 years for candidates who are in the reserved category and by up to 10 years for candidates with PWD.
