Jharkhand Mukhymantri Sukhad Rahat: Recently, the Government of Jharkhand has started Mukhyamantri Sukhad Rahat Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री सुखाड़ राहत योजना) to provide relief to the farmer families who were affected by drought. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand Mr. Hemant Soren has started the Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme. The government of the state declared 226 blocks of 22 districts of the state as drought on October 29. Due to this situation of drought, Rs 3500 will be provided by the state to the farmer’s family for immediate drought relief under this scheme. Keeping in view the gravity of the situation, it becomes the duty of the state to provide drought relief to the affected farmer’s families. In order to get the benefit from this scheme, the farmers have to apply online and when they will apply, the disaster management authority will check the application and send it to DBT.

- 890 crore rupees were transferred to the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme

Registration will continue on Chief Minister’s drought relief scheme portal
The Jharkhand Agriculture Minister Badal Pratralekh said that the registration of farmers will continue on the portal till the last affected farmer gets the benefit under this scheme. The officials under the scheme have been directed to expedite the verification of land documents. So far around 17 lakh 50 thousand 814 beneficiaries have registered themselves under this scheme.
The government has always been keen on providing relief to the farmers and these days the states have been facing many issues with regard to the farmer’s welfare. This is why the Yojana is launched.
