IPL 2023 Mini Auction – Date, Time, Retain & Release Players and Teams: The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) is going to start in the month of March 2023. According to the news, this time the 16th edition of IPL will be played between March to May 2023. As everyone knows that cricket is very much liked in India, so the eyes of cricket fans are now fixed on their favorite team and its players. For the information of the readers, let us tell you that all the IPL teams playing in IPL were given the time of November 15, 2022, to release their list of retained players.

As per IPL rules, all IPL teams can retain only 4 of their players. Each team will have to participate in the auction conducted by the IPL to acquire the rest of the players. IPL 2023 Mini Auction Latest Updates

The wait for the players’ auction for the next season of the Indian Premier League will end soon. Along with the date of the auction for the year 2023, the list of players has also come from TATA IPL. The IPL auction will be held in Kochi on 23 December. The auction will start at 2:30 PM. A total of 405 cricketers will be auctioned on this day. Before the list of a total of 991 players, 10 teams had selected 369 players. Apart from these, the teams put in requests for 36 more players, which have been added later. Out of these 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are foreigners. At the same time, 4 players are from the associate country of ICC. Already capped players i.e. previously bought players 119, uncapped players 282 and 4 from associate nations

A total of 87 slots are available in the auction, out of which 30 slots are available for overseas players. Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve price, with 19 overseas players slotted in the highest bracket. 11 players are on the auction list with a base price of 1.5 crores. There are a total of 20 cricketers with a base price of 1 crore, including Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal, the names of two Indian cricketers.

The base price of 21 players is two crores

In the IPL auction to be held in Kochi on December 23, 21 players have kept their base price of 2 crores. The base prize money for 7 English players including Ben Stokes, and Sam Curran will be 2 crores. Australia’s rising star all-rounder Cameron Green has also kept his base price at 2 crores. Apart from this, Chris Lynn, Jimmy Nishan, Kane Williamson, Jason Holder, Nicholas Pooran, Phil Salt, and Travis Head have also kept their base price of 2 crores.

Mitchell Starc and Alex Hales will not play IPL

The dashing opener of England has not registered his name for the auction. Apart from him, Mitchell Starc will also be absent from IPL. Although Australian fast bowler is away from IPL since 2015 and he took this decision to promote his Test cricket career. The base price of Kedar Jadhav, Mayank Agarwal, and Manish Pandey will be 1 crore.
