ICCR Scholarship 2023-24 Status

The Indian Embassy in Dakar is happy to announce the availability of ICCR Scholarships for overseas students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at particular Indian Institutions. During the school year 2023–2024, applications are requested. The scholarships are available for study in the fields of engineering, science, agriculture, business, economics, and the humanities and social sciences, but not in those of medicine, or paramedicine (nursing, physiotherapy, anesthesia, etc.). The scholarships include the whole cost of education, a monthly living allowance or stipend, housing expenses, a one-time thesis and dissertation fee, roundtrip economy class airfare to the closest airport, and third AC train travel to the study location. Students would receive the scholarship payments via PFMS (Public Financial Management System).
The following requirements must be met by applicants:
(1) they must be at least 18 years old as of April 30, 2023;
(2) they must not be older than 30 for the undergraduate or graduate programs and 45 for the Ph.D. program;
(3) they must be deserving students;
(4) they must be in good health;
(5) they must have a passport that will remain valid for the complete duration of the program the applicants are applying for.
Scholarship recipients should be aware that they will be responsible for paying for laboratory chemicals and other incidentals associated with science courses.
Qualified candidates will be given visas for India; the applicant must upload a copy of the visa to the A2A portal. The Indian Consulate in Dakar will arrange for travel after providing the visa. After purchasing the ticket, the student must upload the travel information to the A2A portal.
As much as is practical, admission will be granted depending on the applicant’s wishes. Nonetheless, there may be instances where students are denied admission to their top universities or institutions because there aren’t enough seats available. In light of this, applicants should be ready to be admitted regardless of which of their top five choices.
