On the Chard ham Yatra, pilgrims must register.

The Uttarakhand government made photometric and biometric registration of pilgrims making the Char Dham Yatra mandatory starting in 2014, following the Kedarnath Flood. In many locations along the Char Dham Yatra route, there were numerous Photometric/Biometric Registration Counters where registration could be completed quickly and efficiently.

It is now required for all pilgrims participating in the Char Dham Yatra to register by 2023. For access to the Chardham Temples, pilgrims must present either a QR code on their mobile device or a letter confirming their Yatra registration, which they can obtain when opting for the Char Dham Yatra registration 2023. The state government has set up a requirement for all tourists to go for the Chard ham Yatra Registration. Also, every visitor could be monitored via a GPS-based system, allowing for the analysis of the volume of travelers to a given Dham.

This would help to ensure that everyone’s journey was secure, regardless of whether they were on a pilgrimage, an adventure, or a leisure trip. Using their Chard ham Yatra Registration Card, pilgrims can also access special services provided by the government, such as food and housing. The picturesque Himalayan range is home to the Char Dham, or the four pilgrimage destinations of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Another name for this Chardham is Chota Chardham.

The most significant religious travel destinations in Northern India are these pilgrimage sites because they draw the largest number of pilgrims each year. The pilgrimage usually begins in the west and concludes in the east. Because of this, the Char Dham Yatra starts in Yamunotri and proceeds to Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

These four locations are all devoted to various deities. Yamunotri, which is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna, is visited by pilgrims as they go through the beautiful Rawai Valley, also known as Barkot. The goddess Yamuna is said to be the Sun’s daughter and the twin sister of Yama, better known as the God of Death.

Also, it is thought that bathing in the Yamuna will wash away all sins and spare one from a terrible death. In Hindu mythology, Yamuna is also a higher order of the divine. A devotee is said to be protected from an untimely death by taking a bath in Yamuna’s waters.
