1905 -- Lord Curzon issued orders for partition of Bengal for administrative
conveniences. The Indian intelligentsia viewed the partition as an attempt
to 'divide and rule' and called for a mass movement against the decision.
'Bande-Mataram' became the inspiring anthem of the people. Agitation
against the partition took the form of mass meetings, protest rallies
and a swadeshi movement to boycott the import of British manufactured
goods. Curzon called the partition a ‘settled fact’, the
people of India unsettled it.

stage setting animated with sound-light-video.
