Parallel to the non-violent satyagraha inspired by Gandhiji,
some ardent freedom fighters took up arms with a conviction that ‘the
end justifies the means’. This is a dramatic presentation of their
activities and sacrifices all over the country, and of the mass uprising
of August 1942, the INA and its battle on the eastern frontier, the
Naval Mutiny in Mumbai, Calcutta, Karachi and Vishakhapatnam.
The presentation is highlighted by an
electrifying speech of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose delivered before the
Indian National Army in Singapore.
